I started my professional career as a software and systems engineer, but switched to marketing to follow my passion for visual design and communication. At Viasat, a cutting edge tech and telecommunications company, I started the in-house design team and led it for over 12 years as an art and creative director. I also led the creative for several campaigns and events at Illumina, the world leader in genome sequencing. I've also worked as a creative strategist, a brand specialist, and "the concepts guy" for many integrated campaigns.

Over the course of my career, I've led and contributed to thousands of creative projects in diverse ways.  Some of them are listed here:
 

• Leading the creative for the Viasat rebrand effort, working with internal and external teams to make the launch and internal and external rollout a success: on time, within budget, and exceeding our brand goals

• Art directing and designing several key parts of the Illumina rebrand effort

• Concepting and art directing award-winning integrated campaigns and designs in various media (digital, print, animation, video, as well as user interfaces)

• Leading experiential design

• Leading the visual content and design for user interfaces, including a massive website consolidation effort at Viasat (resulting in a successful new integrated website for over a dozen markets) 

• Providing creative direction to, and collaborating with, external agencies as well as in-house teams on many strategic initiatives

• Designing logos and helping smaller organizations with their brands
